HSE WEEK UAE 2025 concluded in Abu Dhabi after two days of high-level dialogue, expert presentations, and thought-provoking discussions that reinforced the UAEโs commitment to advancing workplace health, safety, and sustainability. Organized by Verve Management, the summit closed on a strong note with sessions dedicated to leadership in energy operations, mental health in high-risk industries, predictive technologies, and sector-specific safety strategies.
The final day opened with a keynote address by Renato Volpe, Group QHSE Director at Mazrui International, who spoke on the vital role of leadership in driving sustainable and safe operations across the energy sector. His session outlined how aligning HSE with corporate ESG strategies, fostering proactive safety cultures, and leveraging innovation can ensure long-term operational resilience.
One of the most anticipated sessions of the day was the panel discussion โMind Over Matter โ Redefining Mental Health in High-Risk Industries,โ which brought together senior leaders from Etihad Rail, Drydocks World, Red Sea Global, and Innovo. Panellists highlighted the urgent need to normalize conversations around mental well-being, break stigmas in traditionally high-pressure sectors, and embed psychological safety into workplace culture.
The focus then shifted to predictive safety technologies, with Faisal Osama, Head of HSE Department at Mofarreh AlHarbi & Partners, presenting on how system dynamics and machine learning can transform forecasting into proactive failure prevention. This was followed by Theofilos Alevizos, Senior Director Sustainability & HSE at Agthia PJSC, who demonstrated how real-time monitoring and digital dashboards are strengthening compliance, reporting, and decision-making in modern HSE practices.
