Dubai, UAE – Medcare Hospitals & Medical Centres has launched its digital transformation journey by implementing the InterSystems TrakCare electronic medical record (EMR) system at Medcare Hospital Sharjah. The initiative is part of a wider rollout of TrakCare as a Service across Medcare’s four hospitals and 16 medical centres.
TrakCare as a Service is a private, cloud-hosted EMR platform that enables healthcare providers to manage clinical and financial operations through a subscription-based model, eliminating the need for significant upfront infrastructure investments.

The unified healthcare information system provides clinicians with a comprehensive view of each patient’s clinical, administrative, and financial information, supporting informed decision-making, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing the overall patient experience.
The implementation is also expected to reduce patient waiting times, minimise unnecessary tests, and improve access to patient records while strengthening patient safety and privacy.
“We are pleased with the successful go-live of TrakCare at Medcare Hospital Sharjah in a record 7 months’ time, and are on track to deploy TrakCare as a Service at its four hospitals and 16 medical centers. TrakCare as a Service will enable Medcare staff to focus on what they do best: delivering excellent patient care, while entrusting InterSystems with their EMR landscape,” said Ali Abi Raad, Country Manager for the Middle East and India at InterSystems.

We strongly believe that adopting innovations and world-class technologies will renovate our patient experience and units’ operations.
