The Board of Directors of Emirates Health Services (EHS) held its sixth meeting of 2025, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Chairman of the Board, and attended by His Excellency Dr. Yousif Mohamed AlSerkal, Director-General of EHS, alongside all board members. The meeting reviewed key strategic agenda items focused on advancing institutional performance and the sustainability of healthcare services nationwide.

The Board examined EHSโ€™s financial performance for the third quarter of 2025, where key financial indicators and expenditure efficiency demonstrated stable and positive results, reflecting continued effective fiscal and operational planning.

A key focus of the meeting was reviewing progress across major strategic initiatives and corporate performance outcomes for the year. The Board discussed recommendations presented by the Audit and Risk Committee and the Development and Improvement Committee, focusing on their integration into EHSโ€™s operational framework to enhance process quality and mitigate institutional risks.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama emphasised that EHS is moving forward with steady progress in developing a more resilient and sustainable healthcare model. “We are expanding digital transformation and strengthening the effective use of data to support healthcare readiness, in line with national priorities to build a flexible and highly efficient health system,” he stated. “2025 has seen significant progress in our performance indicators and the achievement of key development projects.”

He also highlighted institutional accomplishments, noting, “We are proud of EHSโ€™s achievements this year, including recently receiving the UAE Artificial Intelligence Award and four awards from the International Hospital Federation. These recognitions reflect the ongoing development of our corporate ecosystem and EHSโ€™s capacity to deliver a leading regional healthcare model.”

The Board reviewed updates on the progress of EHSโ€™s strategic plan and the results of its institutional performance assessment. Discussions also covered achievements under the second phase of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. Notably, the Board acknowledged the full completion (100%) of the third cycle of major transformational projects. These included the Diabetes Treatment Excellence Programme, the AI-powered Antimicrobial Use Monitoring System, and an AI project for the Early Detection of Osteoporosis.
