Dubai Municipality and the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) have signed a cooperation agreement to develop a pioneering model for care and protection facilities, combining engineering expertise with specialised care and rehabilitation services.
Signed on 7 August 2026, the agreement aims to establish integrated facilities that meet high engineering, safety and humanitarian standards while improving the environments and services provided to beneficiaries.
His Excellency Shaikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director General of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, said: โThis agreement marks an important milestone in the Foundationโs efforts to further enhance its services and advance shelter and care facilities through a more specialised and sustainable approach. It recognises design and engineering as essential parts of the care and rehabilitation ecosystem and reflects our belief that the quality of care is closely linked to the environment in which it is delivered.”
Under the partnership, Dubai Municipality will provide technical and engineering support across project stages, including feasibility studies, design development, technical reviews, implementation supervision, project handover and maintenance planning.
