The Middle East Working Group (MEWG) was created to provide a forum for discussion of movement disorder topics of interest for Middle East members and to direct education efforts when assigned by the AOS Leadership.

Dr. Shivam Om Mittal is a consultant neurologist, section head of movement disorders, and expert in diagnosing and treating Parkinson’s disease. Dr Mittal is the first fellowship-trained movement disorder Neurologist in Abu Dhabi, and started the movement disorders center at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. His ideology is “patient-centered care” and finds gratification in taking care and responsibility of his patients.
