He is Professor and Chairman of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at GCH and surgeon at Reem Hospital.

Extensive educational experience (voted teacher of the year at the Mayo Clinic, USA and Outstanding Physician-Educator of the Year at SSMC-Mayo Clinic). Skilled in the various fields of ENT medicine and surgery, head and neck surgery, facial plastic & reconstructive surgery, sleep apnea, sinus surgery, otology, parotid & thyroid gland surgery and others.

Published a medical textbook and numerous scientific articles in leading US, European and International Journals (many are landmark publications, largest series published), major book chapters including in Cummings’ textbook of Otolaryngology. Conducted clinical and basic science research projects.

Versatile healthcare leadership experience in the middle east and the USA (Chairman of four Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery departments in leading academic centers as well as Assistant Dean, Associate Chief of Staff and Medical Director of Human Resources). Seasoned in healthcare Administration/Management, building programs, with 15 years’ experience in healthcare leadership with an education from ESA (Masters in hospital and healthcare management) and healthcare leadership training from INSEAD.

Recruited as a surgeon and faculty member by the world class Mayo Clinic, USA and the Cleveland Clinic. Completed multiple fellowship subspecialties: in Head and Neck Oncologic/Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery and in Otology-Neurotology/Skull Base Surgery at Vanderbilt and clinical and basic science research fellowship (Case Western/University Hospitals of Cleveland). Active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology that awarded him its prestigious ‘Honor Award’. He has also served on many of its committees including programs and grassroots committees. A member of the American Head & Neck Society & the American College of Surgeons. American Board Certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
