Dubai, UAE- March 2024: As part of its celebration of National Reading Month (March 2024), the DHA has made a wide range of electronic medical library resources available to health professionals. Throughout the reading month, individuals can access these resources for free via its homepage to obtain continuing medical education hours through the “Learn and Work” service.

The Dubai Health Authority has engaged with the Month of Reading to offer an enriching program of activities and events. His Excellency Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, stated that Reading Month provides an opportunity to enrich thought and knowledge, enhancing the status of the United Arab Emirates as a country of science, culture, and creativity. He urged DHA employees to allocate time for reading, viewing, and participating in distinguished events at Dubai Health Authority.

His Excellency introduced the annual book fair organized by the Authority at the Innovation Centre at its headquarters under the slogan “We read to rise.”

The DHA has also allocated a “Knowledge Corner,” a library distributed in the corridors of the Authority’s building for reading or borrowing, to encourage reading, viewing, and diversifying sources of knowledge, especially with the availability of several means of reading (digital, audio, and traditional).

The activities also included a dialogue session for several DHA employees (those with authorship talents) to introduce their works and sign their publications in the presence of His Excellency and several DHA officials.

The Authority implemented the “Knowledge Dose” initiative for the fourth year. This initiative comprises knowledge enrichment material covering various topics, sent in Arabic and English to all employees. Subsequently, An open competition is then conducted among employees to foster a competitive atmosphere for reading and learning.

All these activities will run until the end of the march to mark Reading Month.
