Alisha Moopen is the Deputy Managing Director at Aster DM Healthcare, currently one of the largest and fastest growing conglomerates in the MENA region that covers the full spectrum of healthcare services with an expansive portfolio that includes hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, diagnostic centres, educational institutions, healthcare management and healthcare support systems.
In her position, Alisha is responsible for leading Aster’s operations in India and the GCC and managing the growth strategy for the company into new markets and business verticals. Since she joined the company as a director in 2012, she has led the organization on a phenomenal growth trajectory and is building a sustainable future for Aster to serve patients globally.
Alisha’s great vocation for the world of health has led her to develop as a professional. As a result of her hard work, she has received several awards in recent years; she was elected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2018, awarded with the International Executive’s Award by the Harvard Business Council in 2021, recognised as the Most Promising Woman Leader of 2021 by The Economic Times and recognised as one of the Most Influential Women in the Arab World by CEO Middle East magazine in 2020. She also has been recognized as one of the Top 100 World’s Greatest Leaders in Asia and GCC in 2018 and won the Asian Business Leadership Forum’s (ABLF) Rising Star Award in 2018.
Alisha graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, with distinctions in finance and accounting. She also holds a degree in Global Leadership & Public Policy Change from Harvard University
