Hani Hussein is a seasoned compliance leader with over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, spanning sales, clinical operations, medical affairs, and healthcare compliance. Currently serving as Compliance Officer at Boehringer Ingelheim IMETA, Hani plays a pivotal role in driving a globally aligned Compliance & Integrity program across diverse markets, including both Human Pharma and Animal Health divisions.

From the beginning of his career as a sales rep to his current leadership position, Hani has always been driven by passion and commitment. His career reflects a deep commitment to ethical business practices and operational excellence.

Since joining Boehringer Ingelheim in 2017, he has partnered closely with regional leadership to embed a risk-based, business-centric compliance and integrity culture. In 2025, he took on additional responsibilities as Head of Legal & Compliance Operations, leading initiatives to streamline processes, introduce automation, and enhance data-driven decision-making across the function.

Prior to Boehringer Ingelheim, Hani held leadership roles at Eli Lilly, including Ethics and Compliance Director for Egypt and Clinical Research Manager for the MENA region. He also contributed to regional clinical trial operations as a Project Network Specialist. Earlier in his career, he held various roles in clinical operations and sales at Novo Nordisk and Servier.

Hani holds a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cairo University and has completed executive programs at INSEAD Business School (Healthcare Compliance Implementation Leadership) and ALBA Graduate Business School (Executive Management Program in Business Studies). He is fluent in English and Arabic and is known for his collaborative leadership style, strategic mindset, and passion for continuous improvement.
