Dubai- Arab Health 2024 is gearing up to tackle the pressing issue of diabetes in the UAE and the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. With the diabetes device market in the UAE expected to reach over AED781m in 2030, the event aims to showcase the latest technologies, devices, and insights from industry experts.
The region is witnessing a surge in diabetes, with 1.19 million UAE residents diagnosed, constituting around 18.9% of the population. The MENA region faces a diabetes challenge, affecting 73 million people, and projected to rise to over 135 million by 2045, according to the International Diabetes Federation.
Arab Health 2024, scheduled from January 31 to February 1, will feature a dedicated diabetes conference track, including renowned speakers such as Dr. Laith Al-Rubaiy and Prof. Khalid Al Rubeaan. Topics will range from Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes 2024 to the impact of diabetes on the Gulf States.
