Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital, part of the Emirates Health Services (EHS) and a leading national center for mental health and rehabilitation, welcomed a delegation from Sharjah Police Headquarters. The delegation, led by Brigadier General Abdullah Alai Al Naqbi, Director of the Punitive and Correctional Institution, aimed to exchange institutional expertise, review best practices in mental health care, and explore avenues for future collaboration.

The visiting delegation was received by Dr. Noor Al Mheiri, Director of Mental Health Department at EHS, and Dr. Ammar Hameed Al Banna, Director of Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital, alongside a team of medical and administrative professionals.

During a facility tour, the delegation observed the hospitalโ€™s advanced programs and specialized services, including its nationally recognized integrated mental health care models. Discussions focused on collaborative opportunities in referral pathways, training program development, psychological support for inmates in correctional facilities, and community reintegration strategies.

Dr. Noor Al Mheiri emphasized Al Amal Hospitalโ€™s pivotal role in the national mental health framework, stating, โ€œOur partnership with strategic stakeholders like Sharjah Police reflects our vision to develop sustainable, integrated models that cater to the diverse needs of society.โ€
