The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre has introduced the “Live Ramadan the Right Way Challenge” to encourage residents to maintain balanced routines, healthy eating and improved wellbeing during Ramadan.
March 2026- Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre has launched the “Live Ramadan the Right Way Challenge,” a community-focused initiative hosted on the Sahatna platform on TAMM, encouraging residents across the emirate to adopt balanced routines and maintain healthy habits during the holy month of Ramadan.
The initiative forms part of ADPHC’s broader Ramadan wellbeing campaign, “Live Ramadan the Right Way,” which supports Abu Dhabi’s Healthy Living strategy. The campaign aims to help residents manage common behavioural challenges experienced during Ramadan, including changes in sleep patterns, meal schedules, physical activity and mental wellbeing.
According to research cited by the centre, lifestyle shifts during Ramadan are common. Around 37 percent of residents report reduced physical activity, while 55 percent experience decreased sleep. In addition, 48 percent say they engage in unhealthy snacking after iftar, and 25 percent report a drop in productivity.
ADPHC emphasised that while such changes are frequently observed during the holy month, they can be addressed through simple and practical interventions. The campaign promotes the idea that maintaining wellbeing during Ramadan does not require major lifestyle changes but rather consistent, manageable habits that align with the daily rhythm of fasting.
Through the “Live Ramadan the Right Way” initiative, the centre aims to encourage realistic and sustainable approaches to health, helping residents maintain physical, mental and lifestyle balance throughout Ramadan.

- Think Right: reflective prompts supporting mental wellbeing
“Ramadan is a time of reflection, faith, and togetherness.
