In a strategic move to elevate women’s health in the UAE, the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) has signed a landmark agreement with Organon, a global healthcare company focused on improving women’s health outcomes. The collaboration was formalised at the 25th IUHPE World Conference on Health Promotion, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

The agreement was signed by His Excellency Dr. Rashed Alsuwaidi, Director General of ADPHC, and Ramy Koussa, Associate Vice President for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa at Organon.

The partnership will focus on multiple areas of women’s health—particularly cardiovascular, reproductive, and maternal health. It aims to deliver impactful awareness campaigns, facilitate research, and provide evidence-based educational resources to empower women throughout their health journeys.

“We are committed to prioritising the health of women and children as a cornerstone of our vision for a healthier future,” said Dr. Alsuwaidi. “This collaboration is designed to create a supportive healthcare ecosystem that empowers women by addressing both immediate health needs and long-term wellbeing.”

Ramy Koussa of Organon emphasised the strategic alignment: “We are privileged to partner with ADPHC in a mission that reflects our deep commitment to being here for her health. This partnership enables us to work hand-in-hand with government stakeholders to develop initiatives that make a real difference in the lives of women.”

The joint efforts will include:

  • Public Awareness Campaigns: Targeted campaigns to raise awareness around women’s health issues and encourage proactive health management.
  • Research and Knowledge Exchange: Sharing insights on high-priority women’s health conditions to drive evidence-based strategies and policies.
  • Educational Programs: Organising forums, counselling sessions, and training workshops to help women make informed healthcare decisions.

By integrating expertise from both public and private sectors, the partnership will take a holistic approach to addressing women’s health—from reproductive care and maternal health to chronic conditions like cardiovascular disease and migraine.

The initiative also aligns with broader MENA-region efforts by Organon to improve access to quality care for women and advance healthcare equity.

This collaboration highlights Abu Dhabi’s continued commitment to population health—ensuring that women across the emirate receive tailored, preventative, and inclusive care.
