The UAE Ministry of Defence, has collaborated with ADNEC Group and under the supervision of the International Committee of Military Medicine, will host the 46th World Congress of Military Medicine in Abu Dhabi from November 9 to 13, 2026.
The event will be held at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi under the theme โReady When Needed. Resilient When Tested,โ bringing together senior military and civilian medical leaders, healthcare professionals, researchers, academics and industry representatives from more than 120 countries.
The congress will focus on strengthening cooperation between military and civilian medical services worldwide and advancing healthcare systems through scientific knowledge, research and the exchange of expertise.

Its programme will include specialised scientific sessions, workshops and professional meetings, alongside an exhibition showcasing developments in military healthcare. Key areas will include medical readiness, advanced medical care, disaster response and emerging medical technologies.
The congress will also provide an international platform for participants to explore innovative approaches to military medicine, discuss healthcare challenges and share practical experience across different medical and operational environments.

This will be the first time the World Congress of Military Medicine is held in the UAE. The biennial event has been convened since 1921 under the supervision of the International Committee of Military Medicine, an intergovernmental organisation comprising more than 100 member and observer states.
Hosting the congress reinforces Abu Dhabiโs role as a destination for international scientific and medical dialogue while supporting greater cooperation, innovation and knowledge exchange in military and civilian healthcare.
