The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), in collaboration with the Department of Health โ€“ Abu Dhabi (DoH), has announced the return of the Festival of Health this December. The free community event aims to promote preventive healthcare and encourage residents to adopt healthier lifestyles through education, interactive experiences and family-friendly activities.

The festival will take place at Hudayriyat Island in Abu Dhabi from 11 to 15 December and at Al Jahili Park in Al Ain from 24 to 28 December. Open to families, young people, older adults and People of Determination, the event will feature evidence-based workshops, cooking demonstrations, fitness sessions, mindfulness activities and interactive challenges designed to make health education accessible and engaging.

Organised around four pillars of Abu Dhabiโ€™s Healthy Living movement โ€” movement, nutrition, sleep and mental wellbeing โ€” the festival aims to encourage a shift from reactive healthcare towards prevention and proactive health management. Taking place during the UAEโ€™s Year of the Family, it also highlights the role of families in building healthy habits across generations through shared learning and participation.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the Festival of Health continues to support Abu Dhabiโ€™s long-term public health priorities through collaboration between government entities, private organisations and communities. Beyond the event, the initiative aims to inspire lasting behavioural changes and encourage residents to take an active role in improving their health and wellbeing.
