Abu Dhabi, UAE: The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) and the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), in partnership with Abu Dhabi Health Data Services (ADHDS), have completed 12 disease registries to strengthen preventive, personalised, and data-driven healthcare across the Emirate.
The fully automated registries leverage data from Malaffi, Abu Dhabi’s Health Information Exchange, to monitor disease prevalence, trends, and demographic patterns while supporting earlier diagnosis, targeted prevention, and improved patient outcomes.
The registries cover key priority health conditions, including mental health, obesity, diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, chronic respiratory disease, osteoporosis, rare diseases, assisted reproductive therapy, multiple sclerosis, and health screenings.
H.E. Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi said: “Every advancement in healthcare begins with a deeper understanding of the community we serve. The next phase will integrate artificial intelligence (AI) through the Population Health Intelligence (PHI) programme and connect the registries with Sahatna via TAMM, enhancing predictive analytics, patient engagement, disease forecasting, and personalised treatment approaches.
