M42 has launched Ossi, a next-generation multi-agent artificial intelligence (AI) clinical platform, at the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit 2026. Developed using Microsoft Azureโ€™s cloud and AI infrastructure, the platform aims to streamline clinical documentation, improve access to patient information and give healthcare professionals more time to focus on patient care.

Ossi has been activated across seven healthcare facilities operated by M42 in the UAE and Bahrain, including Healthpoint, HealthPlus, Mubadala Health Dubai, Amana UAE, Amana Bahrain, Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital and Imperial College London Diabetes Centre in Abu Dhabi.

The platform launches with four AI agents designed to support clinical workflows. The Ambient Scribe Agent transcribes clinical conversations and prepares draft documentation for review, while the Health Record Agent retrieves and summarises relevant information from electronic medical records. The Clinical Q&A Agent helps clinicians access clinical information and prepare patient education materials, and the Coding Agent suggests medical codes based on clinical documentation.

Ossi is multilingual, supports different large language models and integrates with existing electronic medical record systems through established interoperability standards, including HL7 and FHIR, as well as custom APIs.

Dimitris Moulavasilis, Group Chief Executive Officer at M42, said: โ€œWith Ossi, we are not just introducing new technology; we are introducing a new way of practicing medicine. This is a defining moment in our journey to transform global healthcare. At M42, we believe the future of care lies in intelligent systems that anticipate needs, remove friction, and elevate the human experience. By embedding advanced AI into the heart of clinical workflows, weโ€™re improving documentation, while enabling a shift toward truly predictive, personalized, and proactive care that puts the clinician and patient experience at the center.โ€

Kareem Shahin, CEO, Digital Health Solutions Platform and Group Chief Digital Officer, M42, said: โ€œOssi represents a leap forward in clinical transformation. By integrating LLMs in a secure and compliant manner with speech recognition and natural language processing, weโ€™re creating a seamless interface between clinicians and data. The platformโ€™s ability to auto-generate structured notes, adapt to multilingual inputs, and synchronize with EMRs in real time represents a scalable solution to one of the industryโ€™s most complex workflow challenges.โ€

Elena Bonfiglioli, Global Business Leader VP Healthcare, Pharma and Life Sciences at Microsoft said: โ€œOssi represents an important milestone in our ongoing collaboration with M42. Microsoft Azure provides a trusted foundation for Ossi to streamline cliniciansโ€™ workflow and enhance patient care. Microsoft is committed to empowering the healthcare industry with secure, scalable, and innovative cloud solutions. We are proud to empower M42 as they enable a new way of delivering care and reduce administrative burden.”

The launch reflects growing efforts to integrate AI into clinical workflows to improve efficiency, enhance access to relevant medical information and support more personalised, proactive healthcare.
