Qatar Military Medical City Hospital (MMCH) is using Oracle Healthโs Foundation electronic health record (EHR) system to modernise healthcare services for military personnel, their families and other eligible patients in Qatar.
The digital initiative aims to streamline clinical documentation, consolidate patient health histories and improve access to medical information. By replacing manual and paper-based processes, the system enables clinicians to review patient records more efficiently, strengthen care coordination and support informed clinical decisions while maintaining data security.
MMCH serves active and retired military personnel, their immediate families and civilians from several government departments and agencies. The hospital has more than 1,000 staff members, over 400 beds and 50 outpatient clinics.

The EHR system, known internally as Clinical Information Systems QAF (CLIQ), provides a centralised platform for managing medical records and accessing reporting tools. It also allows patients to securely store, manage and access their health information, supporting continuity of care.
According to the hospital, early usage data show that charts opened in the system more than tripled during the first five months. Clinical tasks documented increased by more than 650%, while the number of clinical orders placed also more than tripled.
โThe implementation of our EHR represents an important step in advancing the quality of care we deliver to our military personnel and their families,โ said MG Abdulrahman A. Alabdulmalik, Qatar Armed Forces. โBy teaming with Oracle Health, we can be confident that every patientโs medical information is managed securely and efficiently, supporting our commitment to operational excellence and world-class healthcare.โ
