Saudi Arabia has launched a voluntary medical project for specialised surgeries in Sudan, running from September 26 to October 3, 2026.
The initiative, led by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), aims to support Sudan’s healthcare sector and provide medical assistance to people affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

The project is part of Saudi Arabia’s wider humanitarian efforts in Sudan, which also include food, shelter and emergency assistance.
KSrelief has also partnered with the World Health Organization (WHO) on a $5.3 million health programme focused on humanitarian health interventions in the Lake Chad region.
