Aster Hospital Mankhool has crossed 10,000 procedures performed at its Cardiac Catheterization Lab since 2018, marking a significant milestone in advanced cardiac and vascular care in the UAE.
Patient data shows that cardiac interventions are increasingly relevant among younger and middle-aged adults. An analysis of more than 6,000 patients found that over half were between 31 and 50 years old, while around 30% were aged 51–60.
Data from more than 3,500 patients also showed that over 90% were from South Asia, with Indian nationals accounting for more than 65%, followed by Pakistani and Filipino patients.

The Cath Lab provides minimally invasive procedures including coronary angiography and angioplasty, STEMI interventions, thrombectomy, atherectomy, OCT, FFR, stenting, TAVI/TAVR, MitraClip and pacemaker and ICD implantation.

The facility has operated 24/7 since its launch and recorded an average of more than 1,200 procedures annually from 2019 onwards. Around 1,470 procedures were performed in 2025, with approximately 1,600 expected this year.
The milestone reflects the role of multidisciplinary teams across cardiology, vascular surgery, radiology, neurology and nephrology in delivering advanced catheter-based cardiac care.
