Penn Medicine and IBA have launched Noventra Oncology Alliance, a new joint venture focused on helping healthcare providers develop, implement and optimise proton therapy and advanced radiation oncology programmes worldwide.

The new venture combines Penn Medicine’s clinical, operational, research and educational expertise with IBA’s experience in proton therapy technology, project development and implementation. Its services will cover the full programme lifecycle, from strategic and financial planning to clinical readiness, implementation and long-term operational performance.

The partnership aims to support healthcare organisations addressing the complex requirements involved in establishing and maintaining proton therapy services. These include capital planning, reimbursement, workforce development, clinical operations, research infrastructure and sustainable programme growth.

Noventra Oncology Alliance will provide an integrated platform to help providers manage clinical, operational and financial considerations while developing advanced radiation oncology programmes.

The venture comes as health systems seek to expand access to proton therapy as part of comprehensive cancer care. The partners said the collaboration will bring together clinical expertise and technology capabilities to support sustainable oncology programmes.
