SAKINA, the mental health network under SEHA and part of PureHealth, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with US-based medical technology company PeakLogic to explore advanced neuroscience approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of mental and brain health conditions.
The collaboration will include clinical research studies evaluating Personalised Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (PrTMS), alongside PeakLogicโs spectral Electroencephalogram (sEEG) analysis capabilities. The research will examine potential applications across conditions including autism spectrum disorder, traumatic brain injury, concussion and major depressive disorder.
The partnership will also support the use of PeakLogicโs sEEG technology and provide specialised training for relevant SAKINA teams on its platforms and tools. The initiative aims to strengthen knowledge exchange and contribute to evidence-based approaches in neuropsychiatric care.

Dr. Zain Ali Al Yafai, Chief Executive Officer of SAKINA, said, โOur partnership with PeakLogic reinforces our commitment to bringing the latest neuroscience innovations to the UAE. Through clinically governed research into advanced magnetic stimulation and data-driven assessment, we aim to support more precise, personalised care for individuals living with complex neuropsychiatric conditions.โ
Kevin T. Murphy, MD, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PeakLogic Inc., stated, โWe look forward to working alongside a dedicated team of experts who share our commitment to expanding access to innovative, personalised care and improving the lives of patients across the UAE and beyond.โ
SAKINA already provides Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as part of its mental health services. The non-invasive, non-pharmacological treatment can be used for certain patients who do not respond adequately to medication, providing an established clinical foundation for the new research collaboration.
