Saudi Health Minister Fahad Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel participated in the 12th meeting of the GCC Health Ministers Committee in Bahrain, where Gulf health leaders discussed plans to strengthen cooperation and improve healthcare systems across the region.

During the visit, Al-Jalajel met Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa of Bahrain and heads of delegations from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries at Riffa Palace. A key focus of the meeting was a unified GCC health plan for 2026โ€“2030. The plan aims to strengthen coordination among member states and support more efficient and sustainable health services for citizens and residents across the Gulf.

The GCC comprises Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait, with a combined population of approximately 62.8 million people. Bahrain hosted the meeting as part of its presidency of the 46th Session of the GCC Supreme Council. Saudi Arabia is scheduled to host the councilโ€™s 47th session next year.
