The UAE has allocated US$10 million through the UAE Aid Agency to support communities affected by severe floods and landslides in Nepal. The disaster has caused deaths, injuries and people reported missing, while also resulting in significant damage across affected areas.
The humanitarian assistance follows directives from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and forms part of the UAE’s emergency response to communities impacted by the disaster.

Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Amiri, Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, highlighted the UAE’s continued commitment to supporting international humanitarian efforts and responding to crises based on the principles of solidarity and cooperation.
He stressed the importance of coordinated international action to deliver timely assistance to communities facing natural disasters and other humanitarian emergencies.
According to the agency, UAE teams are coordinating with local authorities and international organisations to help ensure relief reaches people affected by the floods and landslides. The response is intended to support vulnerable groups, including women, children and families, as recovery efforts continue.
