Abu Dhabi, UAE: SEHA’s Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) has successfully managed a life-threatening paediatric emergency after a nine-month-old infant was admitted with severe pallor and an extremely high white blood cell count requiring urgent medical intervention.

Following emergency assessment, specialists from Paediatric Emergency, Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Paediatric Nephrology, and Paediatric Oncology worked together to rapidly diagnose the condition, stabilise the patient, and initiate treatment on the same day of admission.
