Centogene, a global precision medicine and genetic diagnostics company, has taken ownership of Pearl Medical Analysis Laboratory, a licensed genetics and reproductive testing facility in Abu Dhabi. The company will run the laboratory as an independent diagnostics provider and fold it into its worldwide diagnostics network.
The deal extends Centogene’s regional reach and broadens access to reproductive and personalised genetic testing for fertility clinics, women’s health centres, hospitals, physicians and patients throughout the Middle East. Pearl Lab’s existing regional standing will now be paired with Centogene’s international genetic diagnostics expertise under the new ownership structure.

Services at the laboratory will expand to include carrier screening, prenatal diagnostics and preimplantation genetic testing, all delivered locally with faster turnaround times and rigorous quality standards. Backed by Centogene’s scientific infrastructure and a team of specialist geneticists and counsellors, the lab aims to give regional clinicians and patients wider access to expert genetic guidance throughout the testing process.
