Dubai’s government workforce is set to benefit from adjusted working arrangements this summer, as authorities introduce schedule alternatives aimed at giving public sector staff greater time with their families during the warmer months.
Employees will have the choice of two arrangements. Under the first, staff complete condensed seven-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, with a shorter half-day on Friday. The second option allows employees to fulfil their weekly hours across four full days, leaving Friday free as an additional day of rest.
