Sanofi, in collaboration with regional medical societies, has launched a GCC-wide campaign to improve awareness, early diagnosis, and understanding of rare diseases.

March 2026- Sanofi has partnered with UAE Rare Disease Society and Saudi Society of Medical Genetics to launch a regional awareness campaign titled โ€œMore Than You Can Imagine,โ€ aimed at improving public understanding of rare diseases across the GCC.

The initiative seeks to address persistent awareness gaps affecting thousands of patients and their families by focusing on early symptom recognition, the often unseen challenges faced by individuals living with rare conditions, and the importance of timely diagnosis to improve quality of life.

Digital outreach has played a central role in the campaign, with the social media platforms of UAERDS and SSMG helping to expand its reach across the region. These channels have enabled wider community engagement, particularly among younger audiences and healthcare professionals, while presenting complex medical information through accessible and visually engaging formats.

Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in rare disease therapies, Sanofiโ€™s collaboration with regional medical societies combines global expertise with local insights. This approach ensures that the campaign delivers scientifically accurate information tailored to the cultural context of GCC communities.

The campaign highlights the role of partnerships between pharmaceutical companies and medical organisations in strengthening public health education. Through sustained awareness efforts, the initiative aims to support earlier diagnosis, improved disease management, and better outcomes for people living with rare conditions in the region.
