The National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) in the UAE has announced the launch of its third research grant cycle for 2025-2026, under the theme Advancing MS Treatments.

Applications are now open for projects aligned with the mission to accelerate scientific breakthroughs and improve the lives of people living with multiple sclerosis (MS) in the UAE and beyond.

This cycle supports projects aimed at advancing treatment strategies under the Stopping Disease and Restoring Function pathways of the global Pathways to Cures roadmap. Focus areas include disease-modifying therapies, remyelination, neuroprotection, precision medicine, regenerative approaches, and clinical strategies for rehabilitation, wellness, or symptom management.

Grants will range from AED 500,000 to AED 1,500,000 per project (up to AED 500,000 annually). Eligible applicants must hold a PhD and/or MD and be based at an academic or clinical institution in the UAE. International collaboration is encouraged, with up to 50% of funding allowed for external partners. Project durations may span one to three years.

ย Letters of intent are due by August 24, 2025, with full applications due by September 28, 2025. Applications must be submitted via theย NMSS website.
