During the Hajj season of 1446H, the Kingdom’s healthcare system delivered nearly 200,000 high-quality medical services to pilgrims, utilizing streamlined processes that enhanced access to care. These efforts align with the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program, both of which are part of Saudi Vision 2030. The programs aim to ensure pilgrims can perform their rituals in a safe environment with efficient healthcare support.

The total number of visitors to healthcare centers exceeded 109,511, with 29 open-heart surgeries and 311 cardiac catheterization procedures performed. Emergency departments received 42,949 cases, while the Seha Virtual Hospital served 10,430 pilgrims. Additionally, 9,001 medical consultations were provided via telephone, and the 937 unified call center handled more than 27,784 incoming calls. Moreover, 1.47 million preventive health services were delivered across entry points throughout the Kingdom.

The Ministry of Health emphasized that the implementation of preventive measures and the integration of healthcare services ensured the success of health plans during Hajj. The season was free of any epidemic outbreaks or public health threats, thanks to coordinated efforts with various government entities. This created a safe and healthy environment that enabled pilgrims to perform their rites with ease and peace of mind.
