In recognition of World Hypertension Day, Thumbay Hospital Fujairah organized an awareness event aimed at educating the public and corporate sector on hypertension prevention, early detection, and heart health. The initiative is part of the hospital’s broader mission to advance community-based preventive healthcare.
The event featured expert talks by senior physicians, including:
- Dr. Abdul Rahuman Aboobaker, Consultant – Cardiology, who highlighted the importance of early detection and lifestyle changes in managing hypertension.
- Dr. C. R. Sathyanarayanan, Specialist – Internal Medicine, HOD & Medical Director, who addressed hypertension as the “Silent Killer” and stressed the importance of long-term treatment adherence.
- Dr. Manish Singhal, Chief Operating Officer, who reiterated the hospital’s commitment to preventive health and introduced new wellness initiatives tailored for corporate entities.
More than 50 representatives from local businesses—including HSE managers, corporate nurses, HR professionals, and safety officers—participated in the session. Attendees received certificates and wellness gifts as a token of appreciation.
To further promote accessible care, the hospital launched a Special Hypertension Screening Package, aimed at facilitating early diagnosis and sustained management of high blood pressure.
