Samaritan Health Services announces key leadership changes to boost systemwide operations and alignment across its five hospitals. Marty Cahill, MBA, FACHE, former CEO of Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, steps into the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer – Hospitals. In this position, Cahill integrates operations to fortify Samaritan Health Services.
“Marty’s experience leading two different Samaritan hospitals, his 15-year history within the organization and his vision for the future of Samaritan hospitals was compelling,” said Doug Boysen, CEO of Samaritan Health Services. “I’m looking forward to working with Marty in this new way as we continue to chart our course forward.”

Moreover, In tandem with this transition, Wendie Wunderwald, RN, assumes the role of CEO for Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. With over 39 years at Samaritan Health Services, Wunderwald has a distinguished history. She served as vice president of Patient Care Services at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. Under her leadership, the hospital achieved significant milestones. Being the first critical access hospital in the U.S. to receive the Beacon award from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. It also earned recognition as the Large Business of the Year by the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce in 2022.
