Travelling across the world, meeting experts, and sharing innovative ideas keep Dr Ali Tinazli, CEO of Lifespin, incredibly busy with productive commitments. Despite these demands, he prioritizes work-life balance to maintain a healthy mental and physical well-being. Along with business tours, Dr Tinazli also travels to various destinations on vacation. When asked about a travel destination he would love to revisit, he replied, ‘‘Not a place I would revisit, but rather a first-time destination: When I can carve out a few months from my busy schedule, I would love to drive an off-road vehicle along the Silk Road. I have also made plans to journey to the K2 Base Camp. I am captivated by the crisp air at high altitudes and the idea of a road trip filled with uncertainty and spontaneity.’’
Dr Tinazli manages to integrate his professional responsibilities with his interests. He finds solace in both indoor and outdoor activities, with a passion for reading and maintaining a personal library of about 5,000-6,000 books. Equally important to him is hiking, especially in mountainous regions. “My favourite escapes in Europe are the French and Austrian Alps,” he shared, highlighting his love for nature and adventure.
When asked about learning new languages, Dr Tinazli mentioned his proficiency in German, Turkish, and English, along with conversational French and a background in Latin. However, he has no plans to learn additional languages at the moment. “I fear that if I were to learn more languages, I’d end up buying even more books, and I already struggle to keep up with my current reading list,” he explained, illustrating his practical approach to managing his time and interests.

For healthcare enthusiasts, Dr Tinazli recommends exploring diverse literature due to the fragmented nature of the field. He expresses a particular interest in the evolution of the human body and diseases. “A book I found particularly noteworthy is ‘Why We Get Sick: The New Science of Darwinian Medicine’ by Randolph M. Nesse and George C. Williams,” he noted, offering a glimpse into his preferred reading material that bridges the gap between healthcare and evolutionary biology.
