Indoma, a US-based neurorehabilitation company, has launched operations in Dubai, bringing intensive, technology-assisted rehabilitation services into patientsโ homes across the UAE. The service will support people recovering from stroke, mild traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions, as well as patients with Parkinsonโs disease and multiple sclerosis.
The companyโs approach is based on neuroplasticity, the brainโs ability to adapt and reorganise. Following a physician-led assessment, Indoma develops personalised rehabilitation plans combining medical supervision, multidisciplinary therapy and dedicated care coordination. The programme emphasises high-intensity, repetitive therapy, gradual progression and continuous clinical review.

Oren Schneider, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Indoma, said,ย โHospital discharge is a milestone, not the end of the rehabilitation journey. That conviction is reflected in our name, drawing on the word โindomitableโ and the determination to keep moving forward in the face of adversity. We builtย Indomaย to give patients and families a clear path forward when the next step is uncertain. Our focus on patient care drives us to look towards the future of medical technologies as well as to offer each patient the most appropriate and effective treatment currently available –ย the UAEโs record of translating ambition into action makes it a natural place for the next stage of our growth.โย
Dr. Teo Forcht Dagi, Neurosurgeon, and Chairman and Chief Medical Officer of Indoma, said,ย โThe science of neuroplasticity shows that the brain’s capacity to recover is not fixed, but can be activated and enhanced by high-frequency, high-intensity, repetitive input and consistent delivery – provided therapy is delivered at sufficient intensity and duration. Each element of Indomaโs practice demonstrates our role in harnessing a patientโs neuroplasticity: the intensity of therapy, the technologies we select, the home setting, the holistic support, and the duration of care. In the UAE, we intend to work as colleagues to the neurologists, neurosurgeons, and rehabilitation physicians already caring for these patients, and to uphold ourselves to the clinical governance expected of any academic center.”ย

Clinical delivery in Dubai will be led by Dr Nazakat Hussain, the companyโs UAE medical director, who has more than 30 years of experience across the UK and UAE. He also serves as director of the Spinal Cord Injury Program and clinical lead for neurorehabilitation at Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
Indoma plans to establish referral relationships with physicians, hospitals and rehabilitation partners. The company said it expects to begin accepting patients through referrals and direct enquiries in the coming weeks.
