Johnson & Johnson will showcase its digital surgery technologies and advance its collaboration with the Department of Health โ€“ Abu Dhabi (DOH) at the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit 2026, held under the theme โ€œTo Sense Is to Predictโ€.

The company will demonstrate innovations from its surgery portfolio, including the MONARCHโ„ข robotics platform and Polyphonicโ„ข digital ecosystem, highlighting how data, artificial intelligence (AI) and connected technologies can support surgical workflows and clinical decision-making.

The programme will include a mainstage discussion on collaboration between governments, healthcare systems and industry, as well as a panel moderated by Peter Schulam, Chief Scientific Officer of Johnson & Johnson MedTech, exploring AI, data governance, research partnerships and the development of surgical intelligence. The company will also share findings from The Future of Digital Surgery Report: The Rise of Surgical Intelligence.

Additionally, Johnson & Johnson plans to announce its intention to collaborate with Hub71, Abu Dhabiโ€™s technology ecosystem, to support startups developing solutions for surgical challenges through mentorship, expertise, technology infrastructure and industry connections.

The company is also advancing its collaboration with DOH to standardise operating rooms across Abu Dhabi health systems using Polyphonicโ„ข, establishing infrastructure to support data integration and future AI applications in surgery.

“Healthcare is entering an era where data, AI and connected technologies have the potential to help improve patient outcomes by transforming data into insights that can augment surgeonsโ€™ judgment and inform streamlined workflows,” said Shan Jegatheeswaran, President, Polyphonic, MedTech, Johnson & Johnson. “Abu Dhabi has demonstrated a clear ambition to shape the future of healthcare, and we are honored to participate in this important forum alongside our partners and physicians as we advance the next chapter of surgical innovation.”

The initiative reflects efforts to connect clinical expertise, digital technologies and healthcare data to support responsible innovation and improve surgical care.
