Bristol Myers Squibb, the Emirates Thalassemia Society and Dubai Science Park have held the sixth edition of the “Help Save a Life” blood donation drive in Dubai, bringing together community members and healthcare professionals to support patients who depend on regular blood transfusions.
The initiative was organised as part of Bristol Myers Squibb’s Global Patient Week and highlights the importance of maintaining a reliable blood supply for people living with chronic blood disorders, including thalassemia.
The annual campaign aims to encourage blood donation while raising awareness of the ongoing needs of patients and their families. Regular transfusions are an essential part of care for many people with thalassemia, making sustained community participation important for maintaining blood availability.
