Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSH) has become the first healthcare institution in the Middle East to join the International Registry for Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias (InRAD), with its first patient already enrolled.

The initiative is led by KFSH’s Cognition and Behavioral Neurology Section within its Neuroscience Centre of Excellence. Through participation in the international registry, the hospital will contribute standardised real-world clinical data to support dementia research and strengthen preparedness for future clinical trials.

The registry is designed to harmonise clinical information on Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia across participating healthcare institutions. KFSH’s involvement will increase representation from the region in international dementia research and provide clinical data from Saudi Arabia to global research efforts.

InRAD is an international not-for-profit registry coordinated by the independent InRAD Foundation in the Netherlands. It brings healthcare institutions together to facilitate the collection and use of real-world dementia data, supporting international research collaboration and the development of future clinical studies.
