Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Abu Dhabi has approved the launch of a new programme focused on advancing reproductive health, bringing together healthcare, research, genomics and artificial intelligence to support men and women across different stages of reproductive care.

The Abu Dhabi Programme for the Future of Reproductive Health, overseen by the Department of Health โ€“ Abu Dhabi, will cover prevention and preconception health, genetic screening, fertility diagnosis and treatment, as well as assisted reproductive technologies.

The programme aims to increase IVF success rates to 80 per cent by 2030 through the use of precision medicine, genomics, AI and scientific research. The initiative is designed to improve diagnostic accuracy, treatment outcomes and personalised care for patients.

The meeting also reviewed the integration of AI education into private school curricula across Abu Dhabi, covering students from kindergarten through Grade 12. The initiative includes age-appropriate, hands-on learning and teacher training to build AI-related knowledge and skills.

For the first time, the council meeting also used an agentic AI platform to analyse agenda items, provide real-time insights, support fact-checking and assist with data-driven recommendations and follow-up.
