Moscow, Russia: Moscow is expanding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in radiology across Russia, with its AI systems having analyzed more than 16 million medical imaging studies to support faster and more accurate diagnosis.

More than 2,000 medical organizations across 75 Russian regions are now connected to the MosMedAI platform, which provides 18 AI-powered services for analyzing mammograms, fluorograms, chest X-rays, and CT scans of the brain and thoracic organs.

The AI algorithms assist radiologists by identifying potential abnormalities, performing measurements, and providing additional diagnostic insights. The system can currently detect up to 14 pathologies from a single medical image, helping clinicians identify diseases at earlier stages without replacing physician expertise.

Since April 2026, MosMedAI has also added the ability to detect signs of scoliosis on spinal X-rays. To date, specialists at Moscow’s Center for Diagnostics and Telemedicine have evaluated 70 AI services, supporting the continued expansion of AI-driven healthcare across the country.
