ABU DHABI, UAE — The Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) has officially announced the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AbbVie Biopharmaceuticals. The landmark agreement establishes a long-term partnership designed to accelerate regulatory excellence, expand institutional infrastructure, and foster local talent within the United Arab Emirates’ life sciences industry.

The MoU was formally executed by H.E. Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi, Director General of the Emirates Drug Establishment, and Annabel Sarah Gallifant, General Manager of AbbVie Gulf Levant. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mete Husemoglu, Regional Vice President of AbbVie Middle East, Asia & Russia.
