7 self-care tips for work-life balance

While we strive to excel in this demanding world, we often tend to sideline our personal well-being. So how do we achieve sustainable success balancing both? 

Take Regular breaks

Step out for a walk, or stretch your limbs, to refresh your mind & rejuvenate your body. Start with setting reminders for micro-breaks throughout the day.

Sip up more water

This most basic yet often neglected one, can affect your energy, focus, and mood. Consider keeping the bottle at your reach and stay hydrated.

Detoxify from screens

Most works revolve around electronic gadgets, therefore, one must regularly detox to reduce the risk of eye strain, mental fatigue and other health issues.

Practice mindfulness

Work can feel overwhelming at times. Practice deep breathing, mindful listening & observing, stress management techniques to ease your anxiety and clear your mind.

Socialize with boundaries

Spend quality time with your colleagues. Observe who feeds & drains your energy and set boundaries accordingly. Similarly, learn to say ‘No’ to overwhelming tasks.

Nutrition intake

Replace unhealthy junk takeovers with packed nutritious lunches. Perhaps some fruits and nuts to snack on too, to help you recharge and refocus. 

When not at work

Ensure quality life outside of work. Disconnect from work outside hours, ensure balanced diet, adequate sleep, regular exercise & engagement with close ones & communities.
